Raising Your Spirit
Hi Everyone
I've written a guest post about my progress on The Chrysalis Effect Recovery Programme. It's called Raising Your Spirit and includes 'Fun Angels'. (Yes, they exist!) Would love to see you over there. Hope you like it.
Love and energy....x

Great article. I love the idea of writing about stressors in the morning and then the good stuff before bed. However, what is a fun angel?? Sounds interesting?
ReplyDeleteHey lovely. A fun angel is someone in your life that makes you smile, makes you laugh, makes you feel good about life and makes you feel good about you!
ReplyDeleteThe idea is that if you are having a tough day/moment you 'use' a fun angel to pick you up and distract you from feeling bad. (And stop the negative downward spiral in its very annoying tracks!)
It's about not indulging the negative thinking that can so easily go with feeling unwell and using distraction and laughter to 'raise your spirit'.
Hope you have a fun angel - or 2! - in your life...xx
That is such a cool idea.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your experiences, lots of sufferers are negative about these type of programmes without even trying them. So well done you for giving it a go & reporting back.
I think a lot can be gained from adjusting your response to every day issues & illness alike. Many people seem to confuse helping the body to be less stressed & therefore not work as hard enabling it to heal itself & "a cure". So your approach I'm certain is the right one.
I think if I was to start the day writing everything or everybody down that stressed me I would need longer than your half hour, in fact I would probably be still there well into the afternoon! ;-)
Can't say I actually have a "fun angel" myself but I do enjoy being an fb "fun devil". I dare not use the term "angel" as a bolt of lightening may come down from the heavens & wipe me out!
Thanks for your super blog, I couldn't let it pass without giving you a prod with my pitchfork :-D xx
Ooh, you are spoiling me with comments today Rog! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this programme - it's always great to get words of encouragement on recovery.
ReplyDeleteI think that anything in I can do to put my body in a healing state is a good thing. I have improved significantly over the last couple of years and I am sure it is down to a holistic approach to recovery. I know we are all different but this programme is definitely helping me.
The fact you need a whole morning to write down stressy thoughts just shows you how stressed we can be!
A fun devil sounds more fun actually - well, certainly a lot more naughty! Thanks for the prod! xx
